Caffeination

It has been done.

http://www.caffeinatedimpressions.wordpress.com

Hope you guys follow over there and comment at least...perhaps join the wordpress/blogspot world??

I'm still keeping this acount though.  Might transfer some entries, we'll see.  Xanga's been good to me, just getting redundant and old I suppose.  Kind of reminds me of what I just posted over on wordpress about leaving.  I think it was time to leave, start something new and fresh that maybe I'll keep up with better?  We'll see.

A New Start

I've considered this for awhile.

Let's go through the pros of Xanga:

- easy to use

- lots of people from school use it...or useD it

- ummm...

Cons of Xanga:

- password irratation

- bored with the layout

- not many people are updating/using it anymore

- bored with my blog in general

- boring features to put in pictures/video/whatever

I looked at Blogspot and Wordpress.  I like wordpress better.

Pros of Wordpress:

- lots of features

- a more spiffy, simple, cleaned up layout (ie. no ADS!!)

- ability to put in custom header (no xanga crap at the top)

-  lots of friends to add to blogroll that I can't add on Xanga

- tag features are better

- SPELLCHECK AND AUTOSAVE (Can I tell you how many times I've lost xanga entries and not felt like writing them all over again??)

- spam protection

- more intricate stats

- I can import my posts from here to wordpress

- nice sidebar options (photos, favorite websites, blogrolls)

Cons of Wordpress:

- some people still on Xanga (BUT I can link to them on wordpress!)

- ummm...

So, maybe it's time for a new start?  If it is...I need a new blog name...  Lindsers is getting old.  Senorita something? Something Spanish would be amusing...  Or something from an old musical...  Search for the Epic Life (yet another book).  Time to be Alive.  Sweet Mercy.  Ooooh.  Abre Tu Mente (Open Your Mind).  Let the Day In.  What Lies Beneath...  Who knows?  Ah hahahahaha.  A Lattee Thoughts.  Get it ... A Lotta Thoughts.  haha.  ok.  And yes, my inspiration comes from books and songs that are significant to me.  I don't know...  Ideas??  I think too much about this...

I saw this one someone else's blog and liked it, so here's my version.  And in this case, they can be dead or alive, so maybe we'd be sitting at the campfire with some of them.  haha.

Also, let me just say that xanga is suddenly irritating me greatly.  I'm thinking of *gasp* making a new blog somewhere else.  It won't accept my password anymore and I changed it once already and now it's giving me crap again.  Whatever.

News Anchors and Video Blogs

Yesterday was a good time of not doing anything all day until I went over to Porter Ridge to hear about this Summer Blast thing we're doing for our kids at church.  Should be pretty awesome.  Afterwards I went to McAllister's with a bunch of people.  Four of the fantstic interns came with us and it was a good time.  I enjoyed having that time outside kid stuff with Shannon in particular.  We're always talking about pre-k stuff and this was good.

Today I went by the office and helped call and recruit some people to help out.  I became liked immediately because I brought munchkins for everyone in the office.  And let me just say, that is a fantastic looking office.  They've worked with the original office now they've taken over two more sections of this building and it looks great.  I love it.  I'm thinking major props for that belong to Eric, Damion, Joel, Joey, Walker...  It was good talking to several of the interns and some of the Union people.

I left and went to the grocery store and came home.  Flipped through some channels and landed on Fox News as the space shuttle Atlantis was landing.  That was actually pretty awesome to see.  Very cool.  And in watching it, I decided that Shepard Smith is my favorite news anchor...almost ever.  This is based on his reporting, his two shows, doing 70 stories in an hour, and his amusing commentary.  I laughed.  A lot.

And about a video blog...  So yes, I talk a lot about my church and have mentioned my pastor's blog a few times.  Well, now he goes and does something new.  A video blog.  His first one...at least for the internet world as a whole.  We get vmails from him every week for volunteers.  Check it out.  He's as amusing in video as he is in person and in his writing.  And yes, just as sarcastic and corny.  Just my humor.  Trust me, I just went on about how funny the word chop is with a friend.  :)

The "behind-the-scenes" blog Access Elevation is interesting too.  Seeing how they come up with small group stuff, graphics, technical things.  The latest one includes a sample cue sheet and I wasn't surprised they go that far on Sundays.  It was interesting to look at though to see how they time things and whatnot.  Brought me back to those theatre days.

And now...I think I need a nap.

Ay de mi...

Yes, I wish I could be more creative than that as well...  But that's all I've got considering how tired I am.

School is out.

The Union County Board of Commissioners drives me crazy.  That's all I'll say.

Katie has graduated from high school and is heading to Eastern in the fall.

Bunches of people from Eastern are married...getting married.

I'm pumping a coffee IV.

Have to get in touch with the audiology clinic and real estate to figure out what I might be doing on contract for them.

And I want my mountains.  Pondering going up the week of the 4th of July.

I want some good music too.  I am, however, going to the Charlotte Symphony Pops in the Park for their Broadway series.

That's all I've got...  Enjoyable, yes?  haha.
